The Wonderful Characteristics of Wood

One trait that makes wood so beautiful is its grain or pattern, and no two pieces ever look exactly alike.  Each piece will take the stain in its own way.  This will vary not only among types of wood, but even among pieces of the same type of wood.  Other characteristics of wood also contribute to its uniqueness – how long it has grown, how it has been cut, and how pieces are used together all contribute to the beauty and individuality of each of Dan’s wood products.

Caring for Your Wooden Treasure

If you have ever owned a piece of furniture made from real wood, you already know that it is subject to scratches, nicks, dents and even warping.  Wood can dry out if the air is too dry, or rot if the location is too damp.  Be sure that your custom-made wood piece is placed in a location that will keep it healthy and beautiful, and clean it occasionally with a product made for wood – it will contain oil to help keep your product beautiful for years to come.
